More Shopping! Beauty, make-up and lifestyle

So I went shopping. Again (I know but I couldn't resist haha). And here is what I bought-all of which I can't what to use:
First off I went to Boots and I spotted this new limited edition Vaseline called No3 Paint The Town. It's just normal Vaseline but with a red tint, so it's similar to the rosy lips one. I really liked the packing for this (it's like a skyline and paint dripping) and I LOVE Vaseline-I think I have one of each haha. I love using Vaseline and having a tint of colour makes it perfect for wearing to school or maybe if you want to try a brighter lip but aren't sure how to start.

The next thing I picked up was the Witch concealer with witch hazel extract. I'm really excited to try this as I use the Witch blemish stick all the time and having it mixed with a concealer is great, I also really like the way you apply it-like a lipstick-it's really easy and quick to do.

Next I bought the Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm with vitamin E and peppermint. I'd heard great things about Burt's Bees yet I'd never tried anything, mainly die to the high price however this lip balm wasn't too bad and I just had to try it. I get really dry lips in the winter so as well as using Blistex's daily lip conditioner at night I tend to carry around a lip balm on the day. This is perfect as it is small and light and is quick and easy to apply.

Next I stopped off in TKMaxx and had a look at the candles-I love Autumny/Christmassy scents like pumpkin or cinnamon and it wasn't long before I had fallen in love with a Pure Radiance Yankee Candle, in the scent yuletide. Now the packaging doesn't actually describe what kind of scents are in the candle but it smells like Christmas in a jar, I don't know if I will be able to bring myself to burn it! I didn't even know Yankee did this range and I have my eye on the apple chai scent as well.

P.S. Does a candle count as lifestyle? Well it does now haha

Mini Make-up Haul

Today I went on a mini shopping trip and I managed to pick up some new products, all of which I'm really looking forward to trying.
First off I stopped in Boots and I picked up this Barry M nail paint in Pink Silver Glitter. This polish is a clear/slightly pink tinted polish with tiny pink and silver glitters in it that reflect all different colours. I spotted this polish whilst looking for a red glitter and it caught my eye-I think it's so so pretty and it's very feminine, the sparkles also make it a perfect polish for Christmas which is fast approaching! I love pink and I love anything sparkly so I was really pleased to find this polish.
Next I picked up the volum' express lift-up mascara from Maybelline. I've been looking for a new mascara to try and I wanted one that curled my eye lashes as mine are quite droopy-as this mascara claims to lift up your eyelashes I thought I'd give it a try. And I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but I LOVE the shiny pink packaging.
Also from Maybelline I picked up the colour tattoo 24hr eye shadow in 35-On and on Bronze. I love the shimmery brown/hazel tone to this eye shadow and I think that it will be a great colour for Autumn. I have blue-green eyes and I find that orange-brown tones like these compliment my eye colour.
The last thing I picked up in Boots was the precision eyeliner pen in Blackest Black by Seventeen. When I tried out the tester in the shop I was pleasantly surprised by the ease at which the eyeliner transferred to my skin, the pen also has quite a fine nib which makes it very precise when applying.
I then headed over to TESCO and I found this On Trend Eye Shadow Trio Palette in winter ice. This palette has three colours-a creamy beige colour, a orangey bronze colour and a kaki green colour. I love all of these colours, especially the bronze and I can't wait to try them.
That's it for today, leave me a comment and tell me which product you like best.

The Body Shop:Seaweed Skincare

Today I'm going to be reviewing some of The Body Shop's Seaweed Skincare range (as seen below). Overall the range is great so don't be put off by the name-the seaweed smell is actually very delicate and isn't what you expect at all; the smell has actually become one of my favourites now as its so relaxing.

The first item I'm going to review is the Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15. I love this moisturiser and I use it everyday as part if my Skincare routine, it's for Combination/Oily skin and so it's perfect for me as it balances out the oily areas if my skin and its oil free. I also tend to catch the sun on my face even in winter and so the SPF 15 in the cream means that I can avoid red cheeks! It's long lasting and at £11 for 50ml, although a little on the expensive side, it's really worth the money.

The next item is the Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream. I purchased this before I discovered the SPF moisturiser and I used to use it everyday-nowadays I use it  at night as its lighter than the SPF version. This is a little cheaper than its SPF cousin at £10 for 50ml but again its well worth the money and perfect if you don't like the idea if using an SPF moisturiser. This moisturiser is also oil free.

The next item I'm going to review is the Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser, it's £8 for 200ml and it smells amazing! It's really long lasting and it makes my skin feel really fresh and clean after I've used it-I would definitely recommend it.

Up next is the Seaweed Clarifying Toner which, as you can see, I have used loads of and I'm  already on my 5/6th bottle! It smells great, it works brilliantly and the price is good too (£8 for 200ml). The only problem I have is that I use it up fairly quickly but The Body Shop often have offers in stir or online and so I stock up when I can.

Finally I have the Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask which is £12 for 100ml. I don't use face masks very often and I'm hoping that this will last me a long time. I really like the texture of the mask and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Sinful Colour Nail Varnish

Boots has just introduced a new range if nail varnish called Sinful colour and when I went to check it out the first thing I noticed was the sheer number of shades there was! I purchased shade 300 Easy Going-a really pretty pastel pink colour that reminds me of ballet shoes, shade 923 Queen if Beauty-a clear polish with silver sparkles which I love and shade 1102 Kissy-a bluey-greeny teale turquoise colour that simmers.

They were £1.99 per bottle(15ml) and I think this really means you're getting your money's worth as the bottles are fairly big. Tree was also something I really liked about the shape of the bottle and the lid, it just looks really smooth and professional.

The nail polish itself it very smooth and just the right consistency, thick enough to be able to use only one coat, but not so thick that it cracks off. Shade 300 East Going is such a pretty pink colour, it's perfect for the nude nail trend and it will go with pretty much anything. Shade 923 Queen of Beauty is brilliant for adding over other polishes or just on its own as the sparkles make it great for parties. Finally shade 1102 Kissy is a lovely bright colour perfect for spring of summer.

Fashion/Beauty Crossover: Liberty Hello Kitty Lipgloss

So I got these a while ago but I love them for two reasons;
1. They are a little bit of Liberty-Liberty that I can own! I have always loved Liberty's fabrics and patterns on pretty much anything and these are just perfect
2. It's lipgloss and I love lipgloss
I love the flavours and colours as well, I basically am in love with them. I would really recommend them.

Beauty: Empties

So I'm just looking through a few empties that I've used in 2012(possibly even used in 2011) and giving them a review before I throw them away.
1. Simple kind to skin cleansing facial wipes: I normally cleanse and tone in the morning but when I'm in a rush and don't have time these are brilliant-they keep my face clean and refreshed and they smell lovely. They are also fairly good for getting make-up off at night although domes times getting mascara off is a little hard. All in all I love these and I will continue buying them into 2013

2. Johnson's daily essentials facial wipes:
I used these wipes so long ago that its hard to remember what they were like, however I seem to remember that they don't leave my skin feeling as refreshed as the simple wipes and that I didn't really like their smell.

3. Next up Nivea visage daily essentials facial wipes: these wipes were quite dry but smelt really good and they did leave my face feeling refreshed.

4. Neutrogena visibly clear rapid treatment with micro clear: I remember that the first time I used this it worked really well and really quickly, but then as I started to use it more and more it didn't seem to work as well. I liked the tube design as it makes applying it more hygienic but I've moved on to another spot treatment now as it didn't always clear spots.

That's it for empties today, I hope these reviews are helpful. :) Laura
